From the Metro, centuries and construction sites occupy the same frame.
A Metro window refuses a clean timeline. Granite appears behind concrete. A half-finished tower crosses an older dome. Laundry, hoardings, flyovers and evening light arrive in the same moving rectangle.
Calling this ‘old meets new’ makes the city sound like two separate products. It is more entangled than that. Hyderabad’s inherited forms and current ambitions interrupt each other constantly. Neither waits politely in its own district.
There are not two cities. There is one city changing faster than a sentence can hold it.
